About INTENT & the Founder
I've always been really interested in fitness, but over time I've realised that it's about so much more than just going to the gym.
For me, training has become one of the things that keeps me grounded. It's something I can always come back to, whether I'm having a really good week or one where I feel like I'm completely off track.
I think there's something really motivating about working towards a version of yourself that you know you can become. Not because you have to change who you are, but because you know you’re capable of more.
That's where the idea for INTENT came from.
I wanted to create something that represented the lifestyle that comes with taking care of yourself, working towards your goals and actually following through with the things you say you're going to do.
I also wanted it to be something that felt relatable. Fitness can sometimes feel very intimidating, especially when social media makes it look like everyone else has their routine, their body and their life completely figured out.
I definitely don't have everything figured out, and I don't think anyone really does.
For me, it's about trying to be a little better than I was yesterday. Sometimes that means pushing myself in a workout. Sometimes it means getting enough sleep, taking a rest day, going for a walk or just getting myself back into a routine when I've fallen out of one.
That's what INTENT means to me.
Being intentional about the way you spend your time and the person you're becoming.
I wanted to create a brand for women who enjoy fitness, but also for women who are working on themselves in all the other ways too. The woman who has goals she's chasing, things she wants to improve and a version of herself she's excited to grow into.
INTENT is starting with fitness, but I don't see it ending there.
The first product, INTENT 001, is a gym bag - something I wanted to design around how I actually use a gym bag and what I wish I had in one. Something functional enough for training, but nice enough that you actually want to take it everywhere.
And hopefully, it's just the beginning.
I'm building INTENT from the ground up, and I want people to be able to follow along with that process and eventually feel like they're part of it too.
I'm really excited to see where it goes.
Live with Intent. Train with Intent.
